Attorney J. Kevin Tharpe has dedicated his career to helping northeast Georgia families, seniors, special needs individuals and veterans plan for their futures.

Early in his legal career, J. Kevin Tharpe realized that there was a need for lawyers who protect the rights of vulnerable populations such as seniors, special needs individuals and veterans. Experiences within his family made it clear that people in these situations need a dedicated advocate on their side.

Attorney Tharpe's Community Involvement

In addition to representing people in elder law, special needs planning and estate planning, Kevin provides volunteer services to groups in northeast Georgia, including ConnectAbility, where he speaks to groups about elder law and special needs planning for children and adults.

He also does bimonthly workshops on elder law, special needs planning and estate planning, and speaks to groups about veterans benefits.

In addition to many speaking engagements for local groups, Kevin gives back to the community with service in numerous organizations, including:

  • Former member of the Board of Directors of Legacy Link Advisory Council
  • Former board member of the Guest House Adult Day Care Center
  • Professor of Paralegal Studies at Gainesville State College
